Vision for New Protocols & Ideas
Arbitrum is at the forefront of Layer 2 innovation, offering a scalable, developer-friendly environment. Proposals in this domain should:
- Elevate the Ecosystem: Deliver tangible value by introducing novel products or enhancing existing ones.
- FAFO: The grant program is meant for Arbitrum builders to build new, innovative, and exciting projects, and push the boundaries of the Arbitrum tech stack.
- Leverage Emerging Technologies: Consider Arbitrum’s Orbit (Layer 3), Stylus (WASM compatibility), BoLD (permissionless validation), and Timeboost (MEV mitigation) where applicable.
- Foster Composability: Integrate seamlessly with existing DeFi, AI, gaming, or other verticals, unlocking synergies across the ecosystem.
- Address Ecosystem Gaps: We welcome underexplored areas like on/off ramps, decentralized physical infrastructure (DePIN), DeSci, and AI-driven tools.
Note: While no official strategic objectives are currently set (via SOS), applicants should monitor the DAO’s governance forum for updates. If new priorities are introduced, we will incorporate them as key criteria in our review. Also this isn’t an exhaustive list of all things that are eligible.
